During the summer months the retreating snow reveals a stunning picturesque mountain landscape, a terrain that offers plenty of scope for outdoor pursuits.

"La Vanoise" National Park with an elevation between 1 250m to 3 855m (summit of "La Grande Casse") offers 500 km of marked trails. Hikers will discover exceptional view-points, protected flora and wildlife. These trails are not difficult and are accessible to all. Suitable mountain gear needed. Guides and Park rangers offer guided treks.
Tueda Natural Reserve
Created in 1990, it expands from Lake Tueda to the Gebroulaz glacier via "Le Saut" refuge, along the Doron stream. It covers 2 700 acres of natural preserved beauty. Around Lake Tueda, Cembro pines grow, a very rare sort of alpine evergreen. A marked botanical trail allows visitors to discover 80 species of Alpine flora.
The Méribel 18 Hole Golf Course is perfectly set in its mountain site. Fir forests line its fairway. Its greens are beautifully kept. The club house is, of course, a chalet. The course requires a good technical level: the out 9 being best suited for powerful drivers and the back 9 for precise iron players.

Méribel Trails
Hikers of all levels enjoy a selection of about 20 marked trails through the forest and meadows of the Méribel valley.
These trails explore all of the valley's best spots. They allow discovery of the villages, picturesque sites and lakes. Some of them, especially the forest trails, are very easily accessible even to young children. The ridges of Tougnète, Saulire and Mont-Vallon offer fantastic views over the Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain or Vanoise mountain ranges. Rhododendrons and marmots can also be seen.
